Mordax studs will give your horse complete confidence and security on any type of road - wet, dry or ice bound. Horses which are nervous in traffic can be ridden with greater confidence, and those prone to slip acquire a perfect grip on any road surface, grass, etc. As with all shoeing matters, Mordax studs should only be fitted by a competent farrier (in the UK, registered with the FRC).
Durability...
As the Mordax stud wears it still retains its efficiency in preventing slipping, as the centre of the stud consists of an exceptionally hard carbide pin which wears down much more slowly than the surrounding steel, always standing proud of it. The durability of Mordax Studs greatly increases the life of the shoe, and an appreciable saving is made possible in a short period of time. The life of the stud is dependant upon individual conditions - use, load etc.

The Mordax Stud is the original non-slip device for horses, in use for more than 70 years, having been originally developed in conjunction with the Swiss Army.
